Britta Guthrie started dreaming of joining the team while she was still in her sophomore year at the University of Washington and joined its dance lineup. She loved the experience of leading the cheers of thousands of fans. By a twist of fate, some of the members of the Sea Gals prodded her to try out. After giving it a thought for a few months, she relented. According to her, selection night was the most stressful time in her whole life.
