Chrysanthemums
Mums are very popular flowers because they are long-lasting and inexpensive. More importantly, they serve more than just decorative purposes. Chrysanthemums literally translate to mean “golden flower” in Greek; however, the flower was widely cultivated in China. It was used to make tea and is prized for its medicinal properties. In Japan, the chrysanthemum is known as the symbol of the Emperor.
